Dog-friendly road trip planner

Bring your dog without the guesswork. XCRSN finds pet-friendly hotels along your drive and dog parks for leg-stretch breaks, all on one map.

Pet-friendly hotels on your route

In the Hotels tab, turn on the pet-friendly filter. XCRSN searches where you'll actually stop for the night, based on how many hours you want to drive each day, and favors major chains. Tap Add to Route to put the hotel straight into your trip. Always confirm pet fees and size limits with the hotel before booking.

Dog parks for breaks along the way

In the Stops tab, pick Dog parks to see off-leash spots near your route, listed by mile. Most dogs do best with a break every two to three hours, so set your stop spacing to match.

Know the costs and the weather

Fuel and hotel costs show up front, and the Plan tab shows weather along the route — useful for knowing when pavement or a parked car will be too hot for paws.

Packing checklist for your dog

  • Water and a collapsible bowl
  • Leash, harness and waste bags
  • Vaccination records and ID tag with your phone number
  • Crate or car seat belt
  • Food, treats and any medication
